About the TeamScroll down the page to see all associated job requirements, and any responsibilities successful candidates can expect.This MRI & US Physics team at Barts Health supports the Radiology MRI service and is composed of four full‑time MRI physicists, one US physicist and two specialist INIR STP trainees.Position OverviewThis permanent position is an exciting opportunity for a talented state‑registered clinical scientist to join the team and support our ongoing work in MRI, with a particular focus on protocol development in cancer imaging, incorporating AI methods.Radiology currently has 10 MRI scanners (including a dedicated research scanner) across five hospitals with a further scanner due this year.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as Magnetic Resonance Safety Expert (MRSE) and support both the clinical service and clinical research.Support clinical trials and develop novel research projects.Contribute to protocol development in cancer imaging, with a focus on AI methods.Participate actively in the INIR training at Barts Health.Encourage development of personal research interests and collaborate with Barts Medical School and other QMUL departments.Qualifications & ExperienceState registered clinical scientist with experience in MRI physics.Demonstrated ability to develop imaging protocols and support clinical research.Experience or interest in AI applications for oncology imaging is desirable.The full job description provides an overview of the key tasks and responsibilities of the role, and the person specification outlines the qualifications, skills, experience and knowledge required.
