ensure findings are actioned effectively.Oversee clinical incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis processes, ensuring lessons are embedded.Support the clinical governance agenda, contributing to policy updates, morbidity reviews and patient safety initiatives.Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, policies, and procedures aligned with best practice and legal frameworks.Performance Monitoring & ReportingDevelop and maintain quality and performance dashboards, clinical KPIs, and governance reports for management review.Analyse healthcare data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.Present clinical and operational assurance findings to the Senior Management Team, highlighting risks and recommendations.Support external audits, inspections, and regulatory visits (e.g., CQC, Home Office, NHS England).Supports site KPIs by ensuring clinical quality, patient safety, and compliance with Home Office and NHS standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, monitoring performance metrics, and providing assurance that operational and regulatory targets are met.Lead and support clinical quality improvement projects that enhance patient outcomes, efficiency, and staff wellbeing.Collaborate with operational and clinical leads to embed quality and safety principles into daily practice.Contribute to risk management, business continuity, and clinical governance committees.Support the review and development of policies promoting evidence‑based, compassionate, and effective care delivery.Stakeholder Engagement & TrainingAct as a clinical resource and advisor on matters relating to quality, safety, and compliance.Work with HR, Training, and Clinical Education Leads to ensure staff competence and confidence in key clinical standards.Promote a culture of openness, accountability, and continuous learning.Deliver or coordinate training sessions on quality, governance, and compliance requirements.Data Protection & Record ManagementEnsure all quality and clinical governance activities comply with GDPR, Caldicott, and confidentiality principles.Maintain accurate, secure, and auditable quality records in line with professional and organisational standards.General ResponsibilitiesPromote and model DrPA Secures CARE ethos in all duties.Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity at all times.Support equality, diversity, and inclusion across all work activities.Take responsibility for personal development, revalidation, and professional conduct.Work flexibly to meet service needs, including occasional evenings or weekends.Registered Nurse (NMC‑registered) or equivalent clinical professional qualification.Experience at Band 6 level (or equivalent) in a healthcare, custodial, or secure environment.Demonstrable experience in clinical governance, quality assurance, or compliance.Strong understanding of CQC standards, infection control, safeguarding, and patient safety frameworks.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.Proven ability to lead audits, investigations, and improvement projects.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.Commitment to DrPA Secures values and CARE ethos.Experience in secure, detention, or prison healthcare settings.Knowledge of ISO or other quality management systems.Familiarity with Home Office, CQC, or NHS England audit processes.Experience in risk management, governance reporting, or clinical incident review panels.Qualification in leadership, management, or quality improvement.General InformationThe post holder may be required to perform other relevant and appropriate duties as reasonably needed.
