Our R&D team is looking for a Data Scientist with experience with data engineering, modeling and machine learning. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy new data products leveraging a variety of data sources. You will also drive technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional and multi-platform capabilities. You will work in collaboration with data platform engineers, algorithm developers and clinical experts to focus on key metrics for diabetic patients and clinicians. We are a new team in R&D building new connected experiences for users across devices and services.As part of this team you’ll be able to shape and implement new data-based products that will help millions of diabetes control their illness better. If you enjoy connecting the dots, using data-driven engineering decisions, innovating through modeling and machine learning, you’ll enjoy this job.ResponsibilitiesExperience with developing full stack applications, preferably in a cloud environment, like AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience in, and comfortable with, being part of a team that builds components as part of a distributed environmentDemonstrated ability to keep up with the ever-changing software environmentsExperience in working in a Scrum-based team environmentStrong programming skills – Python, ML ecosystem toolsExperience in building APIs and ecosystem around it using modern frameworks and technologiesFamiliarity using relevant, modern software test tools and equipmentExperience in building cloud-based, container componentsAbility to work in a dynamic team environment, and possess time management skills to meet schedules and participate in the scrumWhat Makes You SuccessfulStrong Experience working with Python and ML LibrariesStrong understanding of database systems - database design, performance tuning, etc.Able to work efficiently with Linux environmentStrong CS fundamentalsWilling to learn new technologies as requiredExperience working with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, HBase, Couchbase etcExperience working with large data setsExperience with Hadoop eco system like HDFS, Hive, MapReduce, etc.Experience working with RDBMS like Oracle, SqlServer, MySQL, etcExperience developing cloud based solutionsWhat You’ll GetA front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
