Head of Control Room UKIncrease your chances of reaching the interview stage by reading the complete job description and applying promptly.As Head of Control Room UK, you will hold overall responsibility and accountability for the centralised control room operations overseeing the UK offshore wind fleet. Your primary objective will be to ensure robust operational oversight, safety, reliability, and effective coordination of all wind farms with a strong focus on EBIT optimisation across the whole portfolio by minimising downtimes, reducing costs and ensuring full compliance to all physical and cyber security requirements as well as ensuring a fully reliable emergency response system at all times. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the central services at the Grimsby hub which includes the reliable and budget-optimised weekly SOV port calls and daily management of CTVs. In addition, you are responsible for stakeholder management for Humber region representing RWE.About the roleResponsible for the safe and efficient execution of all UK Control Room activities for the UK Operations fleetResponsible for central provided services such as facility management, warehouse services and cyber & physical security aspectsResponsible for managing one SOV port call every week plus two CTVs on a daily basis for our offshore windfarms Triton Knoll and SofiaResponsible for stakeholder management for Humber region representing RWE and engaging with offshore cluster and industry groupsResponsible to ensure full compliance with physical and IT security regulations for RWE and UK legislation for critical infrastructureLeading the UK Control Room team and a team for the central provided services for the offshore windfarm Sofia and Triton KnollFull control room operations across a number of local and remote windfarms. Including: Wind turbine monitoring, diagnostics and transfers of control, HV network operations, Emergency coordination, Coordinating vessel operations & tracking personnel transfersOut of hours monitoring and operations for remote windfarms across the RWE Offshore Operations portfolioEnsuring compliance with REMIT and other relevant regulations, as well as RWE standards and governanceDeveloping and maintaining a suite of operational and emergency procedures, and ensuring they are aligned with procedures at the operational sitesLeading and guiding a team to embody a high-performance culture and well-being cultureValue optimisation of our operational business by using synergies across RWE's operational fleet in UK and EUStakeholder management with the OPS Leadership team (all General Manager and Directors), central functions (such as IT/OT), close collaboration with the EU Control Room as well as external stakeholders such as the transmission system operators, energy trading teams or Joint Venture partnersJob requirements and experienceExtensive experience in the renewable energy sector, offshore wind, or generation asset operationsExtensive experience in managing control room operations, critical emergency situations as well as driving for long term commercial optimisationExtensive experience in operational coordination, alarm handling processes, electrical safety rules, incident management, and emergency response within energy or offshore operationsProficient leadership qualities and a track record of building and maintaining a performance culture and high performing teamsRole model for deep safety culture and performance and understanding of Safety Rules within the offshore energy sectorProficiency in applying health, safety, and environmental legislation and standardsAbility to practically apply knowledge of renewable energy assets, including economics and cost drivers for operational assetsSkilled in disciplinary line management of shift teamsProficient in operational decision-makingDeep understanding of Control Room operations, including real-time monitoring, response coordination, and incident managementFluency in EnglishApply with just a few clicks: ad code 90659, application period: 09/12/2025.Any questions?
