It is ideal for a passionate, future-focused nursing professional ready to champion excellence, innovation, and professional pride across all aspects of care delivery.Main duties of the jobProvide strategic nursing leadership to ensure the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care across all clinical services.Lead the implementation of the organisation’s Quality Strategy, embedding a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and professional accountability.Oversee all aspects of clinical governance including incident management, risk assessment, audit, complaints, and learning from harm, ensuring clear evidence of improvement.Drive workforce planning, recruitment, and retention initiatives, supporting NMC revalidation, mentorship, wellbeing, and career development across nursing teams.Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory bodies such as CQC, NHSE, and UKHSA, maintaining strong assurance and readiness for inspection.Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and external partners, promoting integration, system alignment, and shared responsibility for quality outcomes.Champion innovation, digital transformation, and evidence-based practice to enhance clinical safety, service efficiency, and patient experience.Provide visible leadership, inspiring excellence, compassion, and pride within the nursing workforce while upholding professional values and organisational priorities.About usHUC provides the NHS 111 and Out of Hours service to over 4.5 million patients across the East, and the South West of England.
