Ganarew House Care Home is a beautiful home with 34 beds, on the same grounds as our sister home The Orchard.If you think you are the right match for the following opportunity, apply after reading the complete description.Hours: 36 hours per week Day Shifts Key Responsibilities: Personal Care- Assisting with washing, dressing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene.Mobility Support- Helping residents move around safely, including transferring them from bed to wheelchair, or assisting with walking.Meal Assistance and Feeding- assisting with eating, assisting with hydration and ensuring proper nutrition.Household Tasks- Performing light housekeeping duties like laundry, cleaning, and tidying.Companionship- Providing social interaction, emotional support, and a listening ear.Monitoring Health: Observing and reporting any changes in a residents physical or mental health to relevant colleagues and healthcare professionals.Assistance with Activities- Helping residents participate in activities they enjoy, such as hobbies, social events, and outings.Updating Care Plans: Ensuring that documentation is updated as the needs of residents change and passing on these changes to the management team of the home.Following Care Plans: Adhering to specific care plans developed to meet individual needs.Communication: Effectively communicating with the resident, their family, medical professionals and other members of the home team.Required Qualifications: Must be fluent in verbal and written English.NVQ in health and social care is preferable Essential Skills and Qualities: Compassion and Empathy- A genuine desire to care for and support others.Patience and Understanding- The ability to work with residents who may have physical or cognitive limitations.Good Communication Skills- Clearly and effectively communicating with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.Reliability and Dependability- Being punctual, responsible, and trustworthy in carrying out assigned duties.Ability to Work as Part of a Team- Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care.Physical Stamina and Strength- Being able to perform tasks that require physical effort, such as lifting and transferring residents. xpwpeyx What we offer: Above average hourly rates Full training provided Full support in building your Care Certificate Apprenticeships for NVQ levels 2/3 Opportunity to grow within the business- from Care to Senior to Team Lead and even further Free parking on site Free Meals for 12-hour shifts 5.6 weeks holiday Flexible hours to suit you Paid Breaks Workplace Pension Scheme Benefits Competitive Salary Workplace Pension Scheme Flexible working hours 5.6 weeks holiday Paid breaks An opportunity to work for a growing company Outstanding training & career development opportunities with continuous support
