We are recruiting a General Manager to take overall responsibility and manage all aspects of the day‑to‑day running of the home, promoting a caring environment that provides residents with a high standard of specialised personal care, meeting individual needs and ensuring everyone is treated with respect and dignity.Key ResponsibilitiesTo manage day‑to‑day running of the home including standards and quality of care, recruitment, training, communication, premises and financial matters.To recognise and assess individuals’ needs, involve professional agencies and relatives, and formulate personalised care plans.To provide the highest level of personal care, ensuring all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.Responsible for understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements.Follow residents’ care plans, administer medication, maintain records and stock control of prescribed medication.Act as an active manager, maintaining effective communication and good relationships with all stakeholders.Recruit suitable team members, conduct inductions, meet CIS standards, identify training needs and lead supervisions, assessments and team meetings.Organise the team: arrange rotas, ensure adequate staffing and manage absence.Control and monitor the budget and expenditure, prepare monthly cash flow reports for the Directors.Support residents with personal financial arrangements, maintaining confidentiality.Oversee marketing, promotion and sales of the home.Deal with prospective residents: provide information, guided tours, assess new residents and negotiate fees; welcome new residents and complete required paperwork.Essential SkillsAbility to control and manage budgets and accounts.Knowledge of sales and marketing principles.Skilled in recruitment, selection and retention of staff.Committed to a structured approach to training and development.Understanding of the Health & Social Care Act and Health & Safety legislation.Leadership qualities, enthusiasm, influencing and motivational skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Professional, confident and warm personality.Having a caring disposition, reliable and punctual.Desirable SkillsUnderstanding of Bognor Regis local authority.Experience with regulatory bodies.Knowledge of Person‑Centred Software (PCS).Hours Of WorkYour hours of work will be 09.00 – 17.00, Monday to Friday with some flexibility when required, equating to 40 hours per week.We Will OfferA permanent contract of employment.A competitive rate of pay.Support to complete an NVQ qualification.Fully funded enhanced DBS check.A job with purpose and satisfaction.Fully funded Blue Light Card.PAY DAY breakfast.Free meal on shift.ExperienceCare home: 5 years (preferred).Management: 2 years (preferred).Job TypesFull‑time, Permanent. xpwpeyx Our screening and recruitment process is conducted in line with Oyster Care Homes’ Safeguarding Policy.#J-18808-Ljbffr
