Assistant Planning Consultant - Greater Manchester, United Kingdom JOB DESCRIPTION Position Overview Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Assistant Planner to join our Manchester Planning and Development team. This role is ideal for students in their final year of university, or recent graduates passionate about urban planning and property development.About the Team As one of the UK's highly regarded town planning teams, we act as advisors on prestigious projects across many sectors, and work with some of the property industry's leading names.RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities Support senior planners in preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals and related documentation Conduct research and analysis of planning policy, site constraints and development potential Attend client meetings, site visits and stakeholder consultations as required Monitor and report on local planning policy changes and panning applications of interest Maintain project records, track deadlines, and ensure timely delivery of work Contribute to business development activities including bid documents and marketing materials About you Studying a Batchelors or Masters degree (any discipline) Demonstrate a passion for Town Planning Interest in working towards membership with the RTPI (Royal Town Planning Institute) Strong analytical and research skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast paced, professional environment Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when required Career Development Newmark offers excellent training and continuous support for graduates and surveyors throughout their careers.
