Our client provides global logistics services offering import/export, shipping, forwarding, warehousing, and chartering services.If the following job requirements and experience match your skills, please ensure you apply promptly.Managing a worldwide network to handle breakbulk and project cargo.They also offer consultancy and supply chain solutions to their clients globally Job Title: Freight Forwarder Location: Sheffield, United Kingdom Salary: Dependant on experience Job Type: Full-time / Permanent ________________________________________ Job Overview We are now looking for a Freight Forwarding operative with a minimum of two years of recent Freight industry experience to join our busy freight forwarding office in Chapeltown, Sheffield.________________________________________ Key Responsibilities * Arrange and coordinate international and domestic shipments (import and export).* Monitor and manage cargo movements from point of origin to destination * Negotiate rates and services with shipping lines, airlines, hauliers, and agents.* Prepare and process shipping and customs documentation (e.g.bills of lading, airway bills, marine insurance certificates, commercial invoices, packing lists).* Ensure compliance with HMRC customs regulations, Incoterms, and trade laws.* Track and monitor shipments, providing updates to clients and resolving any delays or issues.* Maintain accurate records of all freight movements and costs utilising our bespoke operating system.* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and logistics partners.* Handle quotation requests from domestic and international clients.________________________________________ Skills & Qualifications * Minimum two years' experience of working within the freight forwarding industry, ideally with an all modes background although we will consider candidates with just air, sea or trailer * Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and Incoterms.* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. xpwpeyx * Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes ________________________________________ Working Hours & Conditions * Monday to Friday, 9am-5:00pm * May require occasional out of hours working to meet shipment deadlines or handle urgent consignments to suit the business needs * Office-based with regular communication via email, phone, and teams.Salary and Benefits * Salary £30,000 to £35,000 circa * Pensiond02fcfcb-6df4-40ee-95cf-3eb059ce3173
