A strong focus on measurable performance through established KPIs, technical excellence, and proactive innovation is essential.The Responsibilities.(50%) Technical – Formulation, Packaging, Regulatory, and Scale‑Up.Lead formulation and development of “off‑the‑shelf” and “half‑baked” chassis across all personal care categories (e.g., skincare, haircare, bath & body, pet care, baby care, cosmetics, etc).Conduct compatibility and stability testing, providing shelf‑life projections and technical risk assessments.Catalogue and categorise internal chassis by readiness for NPD.Develop MOMs and technical specifications to ensure transferability into full-scale manufacturing.Support technical training initiatives to elevate the innovation function’s understanding of formulation, testing, and packaging.Liaise with suppliers for new raw materials and packaging innovations; assess and integrate relevant findings into the development pipeline.Maintain detailed technical documentation on formulation and packaging development.Contribute to solving formulation‑ and packaging‑related technical queries or quality issues.Monitor KPIs related to technical development (e.g., project timelines, quality standards, client feedback, formulation performance).(40%) Marketing, Branding, Insight & Client Presentations.Act as the primary contact for proactive NPD ideation and brief development.Analyse client and market needs to identify gaps, trend‑led opportunities, and innovation pathways aligned with brand guidelines.Collaborate with marketing to build client‑facing decks, trend insights, and promotional material for innovative chassis and launches.Present concepts and technical insights to clients with clarity, confidence, and strategic alignment.Represent Orean at international tradeshows, seminars, and industry events to share insights and scout opportunities.Contribute to the ideation and design of creative, client‑specific proposals integrating packaging, claims, and market insight.Translate scientific innovation into commercially compelling narratives that resonate with branding teams and end‑users.Ensure new product concepts are both technically viable and commercially feasible, working with manufacturing, operations, and finance teams.Track integration of chassis and raw materials into client portfolios, supporting business development.Support pricing discussions and margin evaluations with commercial teams as related to formulation and packaging innovation.Contribute to proposal development to ensure technical‑commercial alignment for successful go‑to‑market strategies.Any other duties as required by the Global Innovation Director.This role will require national and international travel.Experience & Skills:Essential – BSc in Cosmetic Science, Biological Sciences, Chemistry or relevant fieldsPreferred – MSc in Cosmetic Science, Biological Sciences or Chemistry or relevant fieldsHighly Desirable – PhD in Cosmetic Science, Biological Sciences, Chemistry or relevant fields.3+ years of experience in formulation, product development, with expertise in packaging, commercialisation and manufacturing.Highly Desirable – 5+ of industry experience with 2+ years of experience in Marketing and Brand Development. xpwpeyx We are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.#J-18808-Ljbffr
