Senior Lecturer (Edu) Construction Project Management / Programme DirectorRead the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.Job descriptionThe successful applicant will lead the new team to develop and deliver the Construction and Project Management (CPM) MSc programme in GIFT city, Gujarat, India. The CPM programme will be based on the Belfast-based Construction and Project Management MSc which has been running successfully for over 15 years.The successful applicant will have experience in successfully leading / managing a team in construction and project management and will have a background in teaching as detailed in the Candidate Information.The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the GIFT CPM programme meets the university's teaching and learning aims, fostering collaboration with module convenors, and acting as a point of contact for problems related to the programme.They will also be the main point of contact / liaison between the GIFT city and Belfast based Programme teams. In addition, they will lead the team regarding accreditation, engaging with external bodies, and supporting staff development.They will also deliver and manage several programme modules and develop teaching and learning techniques and pedagogical practice in response to industry developments and student feedback. Applications from women are particularly welcome for this post.About the personThe successful applicant must demonstrate the following :Essential CriteriaHonours degree in Management, Architecture, Building, Civil Engineering, Construction or a related discipline (minimum equivalent 2.1).Extensive experience of successfully managing teams and projects in a teaching environment.Extensive experience of successfully managing funding, resources and staff in a teaching or construction industry environment.Siginificant, relevant experience in the construction industry in practice, research or education in several of the areas listed in Candidate Information.Evidence of teaching experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level teaching, or industrial training activities, including assessment.Evidence of ability to develop content and teach in several areas listed in Candidate Information, and willingness to teach outside core areas of expertise.Evidence of significant experience in management and administrative processes and organising outreach activities in industry or academia.Proven ability to present complex ideas clearly and succinctly.Proven ability in team working.Proven ability to work independently.Commitment to lead the CPM programme to and promote the growth of the QUB programmes in GIFT city.12.
