Join our Cloud Native Engineering Lab as a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (GCP) and help us design, build, and operate secure, automated cloud platforms that empower product teams to deliver API-first services at pace and with confidence.Responsibilities Engineering Leadership: Be a hands-on leader, balancing deep technical work with mentoring and coaching to raise the bar on reliability, security, and simplicity.Platform Development: Design, build, and operate Google Cloud Platform (GCP) capabilities using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and modern CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, Spinnaker).Security & Reliability: Embed secure-by-design principles from architecture to runtime, safeguarding colleagues and customers.Performance & Automation: Define and operate against SLOs/SLIs, implement actionable observability, performance tuning, and automation to reduce toil.API-First Enablement: Enable API-first delivery with reusable patterns and golden paths for API producers and consumers.Community & Mentorship: Mentor engineers, contribute to communities of practice, and uphold Platform Engineering standards.Qualifications Proven experience delivering large-scale systems with high performance, availability, and fault-tolerance.Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and CI/CD systems.Deep knowledge of containers, orchestration ( Kubernetes ), and service-mesh patterns ( Istio ).Strong API design and security skills (REST/OpenAPI, authN/Z, mTLS, certificate lifecycle).Scripting proficiency in Bash or Python.Depth in GCP services , including: GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) Cloud Load Balancing Cloud Armor Istio Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring & Logging) Apigee for API Management Desirable: Harness, HashiCorp Vault, Dynatrace, Docker/buildah, NodeJS for API tooling, relevant GCP certifications .Required Skills Delivered automated, hybrid-cloud platforms in agile teams.Collaborate across architecture and business stakeholders.Technology-agnostic mindsetchoose the best tool for the job and stay curious.Enjoy mentoring and raising the engineering bar as a hands-on player-coach.Preferred Skills Harness, HashiCorp Vault, Dynatrace, Docker/buildah, NodeJS for API tooling, Google Professional Cloud Architect or GCP DevOps certifications .Pay Range and Compensation Package Competitive remuneration package Equal Opportunity Statement Were committed to inclusive hiring and accessible processes.Well provide reasonable adjustments throughout the hiring processplease let us know what you need.What You'll Get in Return Opportunity to make a genuine impact in a diverse, energising, and inclusive environment. xpwpeyx Real career progression and development support.
