Join to apply for the Family Solicitor role at Slater & Gordon Lawyers (UK)Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor to join our national family team in Liverpool.ResponsibilitiesManage your own caseload, including divorce, matrimonial finances, private children work and cohabitation disputes.Assist other Solicitors on the team and provide a high level of client care while maintaining adherence to national standards.Delegate tasks to Trainees/Paralegals and members of the support team to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.Hold and attend new client meetings, deliver realistic advice, set expectations and handle negotiations.Record time, manage billing and achieve chargeable hours, billing and cash‑collection targets.Engage in business development: attend networking events, raise the team’s profile and support marketing opportunities.QualificationsQualified solicitor with experience in Family Law.Ability to apply skills and experience to sensitive cases under time pressure.Excellent communication, organisational and time‑keeping skills.Demonstrated ability to delegate effectively to Trainees/Paralegals and support staff.Solid understanding of time recording, billing and target management.What we offer in returnHybrid working – 2 days per week in the office (must live a reasonable distance to commute).35 hours per week – Monday to Friday.25 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays.Buy and sell annual leave up to 5 days.Aviva Digicare+ Workplace App providing health checks, Digital GP, mental health consultations, 2nd medical opinions and more.Employee Assistance Programme with free webinars for stress awareness and counselling sessions.Group Income Protection support for long‑term incapacity due to illness or injury.Health and Wellbeing Programmes and apps including gym discounts, private medical insurance, cycle‑to‑work scheme, meditation sessions and more.Life Assurance cover.Benefits Hub providing discounts to over 700 services (cinema, food, travel, high‑street stores).Free legal help and discounted lawyer‑led legal services.Your Professional DevelopmentWe will support and encourage you with developing your career in an award‑winning law firm.
