Monthly Engagement Meeting subcontractor and supervisorAccountable for RAMs, Procedures and SSOW are in place throughout the ProjectLeads Pre-Starts with the supply chains and their mobilisation of the ProjectImplementing Roles and Responsibilities of the Project team and Supply Chain with the correct competencies aligned to the level of risk, and approvals as per company requirements/systemsEnsuring the Project and supply chain meet the latest Balfour Beatty Policies and ProceduresAssisting the Project Leadership and operational team in setting and implementing the plan for the Sustainability targets and goalsProduction ControlLead Operational teams on the ProjectCoordination and implementation of site-wide daily briefingsProgramme delivery management for the holistic part of their project or the whole project including logic and sequencing resolutions with wider project requirementsAccountable for the implementation of short interval control (Short Term Planning) decision-making concerning the overall programmeCoordination and planning of BB construction teams’ work with the understanding of priority to the critical path and EVA efficiencyAccountable for Integration of the planning and site teams, ensuring clear two-way communication between all parties with accurate records of progress, risk/ blocker identification and mitigationCompliance and integration of credit rules between both planner and site operationsEnforcing disciplined site records by both the BB construction team and supply chainIncluding JV Members engagement and integration within the project with transparent communication on a 'one' project goalLogisticsLead the priority allocation of resources and logisticsAccountable for the plant and access of the project ensuring that the facilitating of critical activities in the required sequenceAccountable for the site set-up mobilisation and maintenance of the Project Life Cycle confirming the best practicesAccountable for Operational Project Readiness in line with the Project SpecificsProduction and implementation of phasing construction plan with logistical constraints and opportunities identifying mitigations and action planPlant, lifting and access management with a direction given to the logistical team in line with the site operations and programmeOwnership of efficient site Deliveries and logistical material/ waste removal movements throughout the project with clear guidance given to the logistics teamQuality & TechnicalSet the Quality standards of the Project, inclusive of relevant documentationLead teams to deliver in accordance with the design and spec with full knowledge of the ERs & Design developmentKeeping up to date with regulation changesIdentify and acquire lessons learnt that are relatable to the project specifics then implement beneficial practicesImplementation of 3D modelling to assess technical buildability and resolution to construction constraintsUnderstanding of Modern Methods of Construction. The ability to lead and implement within the design and operation of the ProjectWho we're looking forCommercialUnderstanding Supply Chain Scope and Contract as well as ensuring the wider construction team uses decision-making with this understandingUnderstand the commercial implications and drivers within the construction process and incorporate these into the decision-making of the construction and commercial teamLead team in contractual resolutions and reporting on the joint position of packages. Build and understand scopes as well as understand the contractual obligation for their element of work both up and downstreamIdentify procurement requirements and commercial impact of delays, with effective records and management culpabilityResource ManagementOwnership of team development on competency to fulfil rolesOwnership of senior supply chain members with a buy-in to the Balfour Beatty Site-Culture as well as advancing their competency in working for Balfour BeattySkillsEffective communication to manage customer relationships, in addition to planning and organisation skills to deliver operational excellence and efficiencyEffective leadership skillsAbility to improve safety and sustainability performanceSupporting negotiations and conflict resolutions as well as leading others to do the sameAdept in the management of data and processesAbility to apply construction management principles at an expert levelSupporting stakeholder managementAdvanced IT skills for the use of BIM and construction management toolsKnowledgeDetailed understanding of construction techniques, methodologies and management principlesKnowledge of Budgeting and cost control with financial awareness of delivery targetsDetailed understanding of scheduling and programme management.
