Motor Crime Defence & Regulatory Solicitor - Manchester - £50kMaking sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.Our client a leading international firm is keen to recruit a qualified solicitor with experience in defending motor crime inquests and regulatory matters. This role is based in its modern City Centre office in Manchester.The team predominately deal with motor crime, nursing/care sector and health & safety (insurer and private client), cases.This is a technical and client-facing role for a well-rounded lawyer, so you will have a keen interest in building client relationships through the delivery of training and mentoring as well as in delivering first class legal solutions to complex problems.Key AccountabilitiesReview and analysis of prosecution evidence and considering implications for lay client/companyDrafting statements of insured/witnessesReview of client’s evidence - obtaining, collating, indexing, cross-referencing with own statements and Prosecution's statements, summarising evidence for lead file handlersLiaising with Court, Coroner's Office and CQC/Police/HSE or relevant regulatorLiaising with experts - instructing own experts, summarising expert evidence, serving reportsServing Defence case statements, sentencing bundles and mitigation bundlesDrafting written submissions, following liaison with lay client/corporate clientLiaising with clients re Prosecution's case and disclosure requiredReviewing transcripts of evidenceOrganising and attending conferences & meetings, drafting note of discussion and following agreed strategy following lead lawyer’s strategyAttendance / representation at interview under cautionsAttendance behind Counsel for trials & inquests - drafting notes of evidence, outcome and sentencingArranges meetings, conferences, site visits, expert xpwpeyx appointmentsCollating evidence and preparing bundlesReview of medical records, post mortem reports and CCTV footageAttending site, taking photos and drafting basic statementsResearch into relevant HSE guidelinesResearch into clients - corporate structure, their procedures, risk assessments, documentsTo ensure compliance with the SRA Code of ConductPreparing written reports and advices for clientsShould you wish to be considered then please contact our Director Craig Heywood on the following - or apply now for consideration.#J-18808-Ljbffr
