OverviewHead of Projects - Facilities ManagementCheck all associated application documentation thoroughly before clicking on the apply button at the bottom of this description.Location: DartfordSalary: Up to £85,000 + benefitsA leading facilities management provider is seeking a driven and commercially focused Head of Projects to lead its projects division from the Dartford head office. This senior role is ideal for someone with strong leadership capability, hands-on commercial oversight, and a track record of delivering M&E projects across multiple client contracts.The successful candidate will manage a team, oversee project delivery, drive financial performance, and support the growth of the projects arm.ResponsibilitiesLead, develop and motivate the Projects team, providing coaching, guidance and directionOversee appraisals, performance management, recruitment, training and developmentManage P&L, budgets, forecasting and departmental financial performanceEnsure projects are delivered on time, to specification, within budget and to client satisfactionDrive commercial performance through cost control, margin protection and effective risk managementBuild and maintain strong client relationships, supporting business development and tendering activityOversee subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with QSHE and contractual requirementsPlan and allocate resources, ensuring teams are fully competent and appropriately staffedManage multiple contracts and maintain high standards of deliveryEnsure accurate, professional correspondence and project documentationIdentify, scope and support new opportunities and bids across the client baseSkills & ExperienceStrong background in facilities management or building servicesMinimum 5 years in a similar senior role delivering M&E projects (£100k-£1.5m)Proven experience managing teams and specialist subcontractorsCommercially astute with demonstrable P&L and budget responsibilityExperience overseeing multiple contracts and client relationshipsStrong communication, organisational and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of health & safety, QSHE and compliance standardsExperience in recruitment, appraisal processes and people development xpwpeyx Relevant technical qualification (mechanical, electrical or HVAC) preferredIdeal ProfileConfident leader with a proactive, strategic approachCommercially focused with strong governance and financial awarenessComfortable managing client expectations and building relationshipsCapable of growing and improving a projects functionMotivational and supportive, with the ability to get the best out of a teamThis is a high-impact role with significant responsibility and influence, offering a salary of up to £85,000 plus benefits.
