Our teams are what drive us forward in our mission to make the UK as safe as possible. Therefore, we are looking for the best talent to join the team. Due to the nature of our client, you must hold an active enhanced DV clearance.What will the Principal Cloud Solutions Architect be doing?As part of Secure Cloud Solutions, our client helps customers refactor, re-platform, and rehost mission-critical systems in AWS. As an architect within a project team, you'll apply agile architecture expertise, grow your technical skills, and deliver high-quality documentation and solutions. You'll also support others by mentoring junior engineers, leading training sessions, and sharing knowledge through internal documentation and Centres of Excellence. Their work delivers mission value by transforming systems to enhance reliability, reduce costs, and enable agility using Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps practices.You Must Have:Active enhanced DV Clearance (West)Willing to work full-time on-site in Cheltenham when required.Key Experience Required:Strong background in IT systems design, deployment, and administration, including recent technical or team leadership rolesAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, with additional specialist certificationsProven experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud solutionsIn-depth administration experience with Linux or Windows in large-scale enterprise environmentsExtensive knowledge of IPv4 networking design, deployment, and troubleshootingSkilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or TerraformHands-on experience with virtualisation and containerisation using Docker and KubernetesExperienced in working within complex or high-security environmentsExperience implementing CI/CD pipelines within DevOps environmentsFamiliar with DevOps practices, including Git branching strategies and release managementSkilled in secure network design and configuration of IPv4 routers and firewallsProficient in administering Linux or Windows servers in large enterprise settingsExperience with centralised configuration management tools like Ansible or PuppetComfortable using agile collaboration tools such as Jira and ConfluenceKnowledge of Agile delivery frameworks, including Scrum and SAFeUnderstanding of ITIL-based service management practicesTo be Considered:Please either apply by clicking online or emailing me directly at For further information please call me on or I can make myself available outside of normal working hours from 7 am until 10 pm.
