Job DescriptionWe're looking for a Works Manager to join our KierBam JV project at Devonport Dockyard based in Plymouth, Devon.For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.KierBAM are a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall we are currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site. Location: Site Based, Plymouth, DevonHours: 45 Hours, Permanent, Full Time Due to the site being a high Security Military Naval base, additional security checks will need to be made – BPSS level of security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding NATO or MISWG member passports and have been a UK residence for the last 5 years can be considered for this role.What will you be responsible for?As a Works Manager, you'll be working within the Nuclear team, supporting them in delivering the redevelopment project at the Dockyard.Your day to day will include:Ensuring site works are planned, coordinated, and undertaken in a safe, timely and costefficient manner in accordance with the relevant project plans, design drawings, specification, and the programme.Ensuring construction operations and materials comply with project requirements.Controlling the short and medium-term programmes to ensure timely and economical completion.Ensuring that effective corrective actions are taken on identified problems.Supporting the General Foreman to work safely in accordance with assessed construction risks and adherence with the control measures defined in Work Package Plans and Task BriefsWhat are we looking for?This role of Works Manager is great for you if:HNC (Construction related) or Level 6 NVQ Construction Site Management.Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of site construction activities and management of staff, operatives, and subcontractors within regulated sectors.Gold Supervisors or Black Managers Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.Rewards and benefitsWe're proud to be able to offer our brilliant people a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs.
