The core responsibility of the General Manager is to assume full P&L accountability for the business, and work with the Regional Director of Operations to refine, develop and oversee the implementation of a strategic business plan, aligned with the overall corporate strategy of the business.The General Manager will apply strong leadership and relationship management skills to deliver a cultural change and take the facility from its current state, through a multi‑year journey to becoming a world‑class facility as part of the portfolio.Key Responsibilities of the General ManagerDevelop, refine and oversee the implementation of a long‑ and short‑term strategic business and cultural change plan, aligned to corporate strategy/objectives, working with peers to ensure shared understanding and required support.Strategically align with customers, understanding their needs and drivers, to develop plans with commitments to delivery, performance measures, and price. Proactively partner with the Director of Business Development and VP Business Development to align long‑term goals of the facility with customer expectations.Set measurable financial goals (short & long term) that drive profitable growth. Work closely with finance to ensure delivery across all financial metrics, including cash and asset management, reporting, and compliance with corporate & regulatory policies. Oversee the development of a comprehensive annual business plan (budgets, forecasts, operational targets).Ensure the divisional operating structure is optimally aligned to achieve efficiencies, including for growth. Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of the manufacturing team to ensure long‑term health, productivity and a high‑performance culture. Ensure appropriate skills and staffing levels are maintained and provide insights on the long‑term structure of the business for optimal delivery.Improve facility performance through successful implementation and maintenance of Corporate systems. Work with the Head of CI to create a multi‑year CI strategy supporting the company’s growth and change aspirations, maintaining class‑leadership in machining capability.Utilize agreed performance metrics to measure ongoing strategic success and identify areas for improvement or consideration, ensuring the right metrics are used to understand delivery and growth.Develop an in‑depth understanding of the business and build an initial report/strategy highlighting high‑priority challenges, key stakeholders and supporting functions to ensure alignment with long‑term success.Ensure all internal business systems operate optimally to direct, monitor and measure company resources.Own UK CAA Part‑145 compliance: liaison with Accountable Manager, readiness for audits and MOE change governance.Accept full site responsibility as accountable manager at a respected EASA 145 approved MRO facility. The role has full site responsibility with all functions and disciplines reporting into this position.Model leadership values and behaviours, building a mission and vision for the team that supports and delivers the MRO strategy.Provide business reporting and analytics to the corporate senior team, building links with other global MRO facilities and leaders to maximize the value of the MRO footprint.Maintain operational compliance with relevant safety agencies such as EASA and CAA.QualificationsP&L responsibility of a company, branch or division of a relevant size and scope.Senior management experience with precision/custom engineering manufacturing.Operations experience using lean manufacturing tools.Degree in Business/Aerospace/Engineering or similar.MBA / Chartered Member of the Institute of Engineering / Six Sigma Green Belt desirable.Project Management certification an asset.MRO experience highly desirable but not essential; exposure to business development and strong interpersonal skills highly desirable.Experience building and supporting a strong union relationship.Experience delivering cultural change and working closely with HR to build a one‑team culture.Experience with introducing and implementing core basics and what world‑class manufacturing facilities should look like and deliver.Strong understanding of the end‑to‑end supply chain; knowledge of SAP desirable but not essential.Aerospace industry experience an asset. xpwpeyx Experience leading multi‑site operations an asset.Seniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionManagement, General Business, and Strategy/PlanningAviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing and Airlines and AviationReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Willis Global by 2x#J-18808-Ljbffr
