Job DescriptionA high number of candidates may make applications for this position, so make sure to send your CV and application through as soon as possible.Wood currently has a requirement in our Technical HSE Group within the Engineering Department for a Principal Environmental Engineer to work on an agency basis in our Reading office. We have a number of projects developing in the near future and we are looking for engineers to become members of an experienced team. Projects are generally in the upstream oil and gas, midstream, LNG, refining and petrochemicals sectors.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Discipline Manager Technical HSE, you will join a team of Technical HSE professionals delivering Technical HSE requirements to multi-disciplinary projectsEnsure the delivery of high quality technical solutions to clients, meeting project milestonesQualificationsSubstantial experience as an Environmental Engineer in the oil and gas industry, including design office project HSE rolesRelevant first and preferably further degree level qualifications in Engineering and Environmental disciplinesPreferably Chartered or equivalent status in an Engineering Institution and/or one or more of the relevant Technical HSE/Environmental disciplines professional bodiesOil & Gas, Refinery or Petrochemical experienceExperience in a professional engineering contracting, environmental engineering or consultancy capacityA wide range of EIA and related permitting experienceComputer modelling skills with relevant application softwareFully conversant with ISO 14001About UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
