Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer (Building Services)Have you got the right qualifications and skills for this job Find out below, and hit apply to be considered.Join WSP in the UK & Ireland to lead and deliver high‑impact building services projects.Job DescriptionAt WSP you will work on landmark projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and shape a career that makes a real difference.ResponsibilitiesLead and deliver electrical engineering designs in line with client expectations.Collaborate within a mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) team to provide design and technical advice.Review design programmes and ensure sufficient resources to meet technical, commercial and delivery targets.Work independently with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of the discipline.Interpret client needs and drive the overall feasibility study for the project.Supervise the completion of detailed designs and the work of other engineers.Produce detailed performance specifications for the discipline, subject to review.Develop and line‑manage junior staff.What We Will Be Looking For You To DemonstrateA proven track record of delivering UK building services MEP projects of varying scale and sector.Strong client, contractor and design team engagement skills in technical discussions.Ability to sketch, communicate and detail technical work graphically.In‑depth knowledge of regulations and ability to demonstrate this through calculations.Proficiency with electrical design software, including Revit MEP and BIM360.QualificationsBEng/BSc/MEng in an applicable engineering discipline.CIBSE / IET / Engineering Council chartership or working toward it.Revit MEP training relevant to the discipline.Team and LocationBased in the Leeds office (Wellington Place) with easy commuting options.Work with a highly experienced Northern Region Building Services team spanning Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh.Support from local, regional and international experts and access to a comprehensive technical library.Mentorship and career development opportunities available.Seniority LevelMid‑Senior levelEmployment TypeFull‑timeJob FunctionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesProfessional ServicesEquality, Diversity & Inclusion StatementHere at WSP we positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, pregnancy or maternity/paternity. xpwpeyx As a Disability Confident leader, we will interview all disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria; please let us know if you require any workplace adjustments in support of your application.
