Promotes a culture of accountability and leadership while building high-performing, highly engaged teamsEnsures the team has clear objectives, regular reviews and personal development plans in order to deliver the business objectives and develop the team to their full potential.Ensures the appropriate coordination of functional support to deliver the Business plan.Business DevelopmentActively drives the new shop opening programme within the RegionLiaises with Shop Development and Property team to identify and open new sitesDrives new channels and develops our business across all day partsBrand ResponsibilityAccountable for ensuring the consistent implementation of agreed Brand standards and practices within the Region.Ensures Brand initiatives and product launches are implemented in the RegionOperational ExcellenceHelps deliver ongoing operational improvement by working across functions on developing operating standards.Brand Standard DeliveryResponsible for ensuring that we deliver, as measured by audits, the necessary Brand standards for: Service Style, Merchandising, Quality of food baking and preparation, Retail Food Safety, H&SCost Control and Profit ResponsibilityAccountable for delivery of the Regional sales and profit budget.QualificationsSenior Management experience within a multi-site retailer with significant experience in delivery results through others.Experience of developing innovative solutions and contributing to strategic planningHave demonstrable experience in people management and people development within large, layered, multi-stie teamsHave strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, working in large cross functional groupsPresent a welcoming attitude to change and adjust dynamically to continuous business change and improvementProven commercial acumen with accountability for achieving and excelling company targetsExcellent organisational skills with strong attention to detailHave advanced IT skills including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and ideally some knowledge of AI, Co-pilotEnjoy being part of a hard-working team, sharing the same end goal, and celebrating results togetherAre supportive of an inclusive culture - recognising and valuing that difference is goodBenefitsWe have a fantastic opportunity to join the Retail team at Greggs as Head of Retail for the North Region.
