The investment team have an average of 25 years of investment experience in more than 30 jurisdictions around the globe.The firm is a Signatory of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investing (PRI), a Signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), a supporter of both The Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and Taskforce on Natural-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).Role SummaryThe Global Head of Technology, based in London supports the Group COO in overseeing the data and management information, communication and technology infrastructure for the firm globally. The individual will maintain authority and accountability for exploiting the value of enterprise technology and information assets, and for the analytics used to render insights for decision making, automations, decisions and augmentation of human performance. They will be the firm's leader and ambassador of data-driven insights and use cases that help support the exploitation of strategic and tactical business opportunities. This role involves establishing, leading and operating the global technology and data functions; developing talent and mature the firm's technology and data culture; building trust and managing information; responsibility for updating, designing and implementing the firm's data and information governance taxonomies and evolving technology capabilities. As a partner/managing partner, the role is primarily accountable for fulfilling their responsibilities, while also acting as a driving force for ideas and strategic input at executive level and globally.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Strategy & OversightBuild partnerships with executive leadership and firm ownership to establish the vision for managing the firm's technology and data resources as business assets.Foster the creation of a data-driven culture, related competencies and data literacy across the firm.Institute an enterprise operating model for technology, data and analytics that is consistent with the capabilities and competencies required to execute the firm's strategy.Define the technology and data vision, strategy and associated practices.Lead the creation and ongoing management of the firm's technology, data and analytics strategy in collaboration group executives.Build partnerships with other firm leaders and stakeholders to establish the vision for managing the firm's technology and data as a business asset.Data Infrastructure, Management and SecurityLead the buildout of the firm's global data infrastructure.Create frameworks for the exploitation of data and analytics capabilitiesMaximize the value derived from data assets.Create and oversee a centralized data management service for sourcing external data to ensure quality, traceability, timeliness, usability and cost-effectivenessIdentify new kinds, types and sources of trusted data to enable business value innovation throughout the organization.Lead research, strategy creation and development of new data products or services to expand markets, monetize data (directly and indirectly) and impact enterprise profitability.Oversee delivery models, methods and practices for creation of data products and to ensure consistent application and use of data and analytics solutions.Establish and maintain trust in data assets by instituting governance mechanisms for data and algorithms used for analysis, analytical applications and automated decision making.Resource & Information ManagementEnsure adherence to Group policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.Lead data-driven innovation for the enterprise, including investigation, adoption and exploitation of artificial intelligence.Expand the organization's research and analytics offerings, especially in emerging analytical approaches, skills and technologies, focusing on accelerating digital business innovation and transformation.Ownership of Level 2 Data Management and Information Governance Policies.Lead transformation efforts by developing talent and maturing the firm's capabilities.Global Communication InfrastructureManage and develop the firm's global communications infrastructure in compliance with global industry best practices and local rules and regulations across all jurisdictions in which the firm operates.Have oversight and be accountable for firm communication security, take ownership of issues and complexities and drive resolutions and solutions with the firm's interests as primary driver.Act as the main stakeholder to service providers and vendors as well as technology service groups.Help ensure communication and information security across the firm's technology and digital assets.Candidate ProfileQualifications and ExperienceMinimum 20 years of experience in the financial industry or in senior technology and data management and functions, ideally within an investment management, a global consulting, or financial services environment.Proven track record in regional or divisional leadership roles.Strong command of industry best practices and technology standards, risk management frameworks, and resource governance practices.Experience in leading and delivering firmwide data and technology infrastructure projects.Have experience of managing and controlling complex strategic projects involving a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Familiarity with financial regulatory frameworks and laws.Advanced degree from a leading academic institution or equivalent professional experience.Personal AttributesStrategic mindset with strong operational execution.High integrity, resilience and sound judgment.Ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.Strong leadership and influencing skills. xpwpeyx Language skills or international professional experience are strong attributes.Seniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustries: Venture Capital and Private Equity Principals#J-18808-Ljbffr
