This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Director of Engineering with a track record of delivering complex projects across different geographies.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for driving the successful and timely delivery of critical technology programs.Oversee cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring high performance, agile execution, and alignment with product and business objectives.Provide leadership to build a delivery-focused culture that ensures consistent execution of strategic technology initiatives.Own the end-to-end delivery of engineering programs across multiple value chains and regions.Drive engineering execution, ensuring on-time delivery with high-quality outcomes.Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, QA, and DevOps to align roadmaps and delivery plans.Work as part of the Digital Excellence group to govern agile delivery practices and guide team members.Implement and optimize Agile delivery practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) across teams.Define engineering metrics and KPIs to monitor delivery performance, velocity, and quality.Build and manage a world-class team of Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Engineers.Identify risks and remove roadblocks to ensure delivery commitments are met.Drive the adoption of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native delivery practices.Facilitate cross-team communication and transparency, ensuring consistent stakeholder engagement.Establish and enforce delivery governance, processes, and continuous improvement practices.Ensure delivery is aligned with technical standards, architecture, and security protocols.Act as a senior technology partner to business and executive teams, communicating complex timelines and dependencies clearly.About You15+ years of experience in software engineering and delivery leadership roles.Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex software projects across geographies.Strong experience in Agile delivery frameworks, program management, and product development lifecycles.Experience leading cross-functional teams, including front-end, back-end, QA, and infrastructure engineers.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), microservices, and modern DevOps practices.Excellent people management, communication, and conflict resolution skills.Strong decision-making ability under pressure with a focus on outcomes and value delivery.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.English to a very high standard written and oral.BenefitsHybrid working: 3 days in the office.Private health care, dental cover, pension scheme, life insurance.Discount schemes (Cycle2work, season ticket loans, gym discounts).Access to our Employee Assistance & Employee Support Programme.Access to Chiswick Business Park Enjoy Work events (if based in London).We also note that referrals can increase your chances of interviewing. xpwpeyx Job postings and related content are for informational purposes and may be updated without notice.
