This role ensures safe and efficient operations by managing degradation risks, overseeing maintenance strategies, and driving asset life extension initiatives.For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.Roles and ResponsibilitiesThis role has the following responsibilities and outputs Responsible for providing support to the offshore operations team when required relating to the operation, maintenance, and diagnostics of rotating equipment. Accountable for preparing work in accordance with the Dana activity planning process, adhering to gate criteria and stage gate readiness requirements. Responsible for overseeing Performance Standards compliance for Rotating Equipment Containment and Firewater Pumps through maintenance delivery and compliance testing. Notify the Mechanical Technical Authority of any deviations. Provision of front-line technical support across rotating equipment discipline that is in line with Dana and Industry standards. Manage rotating equipment maintenance outages ensuring flawless execution against the project plan. Consult with Technical Authorities as necessary to resolve technical challenges that require in depth investigation. Support safe and environmentally responsible rotating equipment operation that underpins Dana’s License to Operate.Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and modifications. Raise or respond to Engineering Queries (EQ’s) to propose the changes. Identify equipment upgrade projects and support the Management of Change (MoC) process. Contract focal point for nominated Rotating Equipment vendors (Pumps, Diesel Engines, Gas Compressors & Gas Turbines), direct liaison, and interface to drive timely reporting, repairs, and product improvements. Ensuring Corrective Work Orders are captured in CMMS and progressed. Support maintenance deferral notifications where required. Ensuring all machinery condition information is up to date, equipment health is understood, and relevant remedial actions are scheduled accordingly. Monitor and manage equipment condition through the Dana Condition Monitoring contract and utilising online monitoring systems. Responsible for managing spend on the relevant maintenance budgets. Input into budget forecasts and annual budget planning. Responsible for ensuring critical spares and suitable stock levels are identified for all critical rotating equipment. Conduct offshore site visits to enhance onshore/offshore collaboration, survey Rotating Equipment and identify opportunities for improvement. Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations. Witness Pump, Diesel Engine, Compressor & Turbine equipment repairs and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) where required. Support the Environmental Dept. for emissions reporting. Provide input where require supporting Verifier surveys and responses to Verifier findings. Provide input to HSE inspection plans as required and actions arising as directed by the HSE Advisor.HSEQ ResponsibilitiesEveryone working for or on behalf of Dana Petroleum has the following responsibilities with regard to his or her work to: Familiarise with the Dana Policies, including the policies on HSE, Risk Management and Major Hazards ensuring they are fully conversant with the One Dana Management System. Familiarise with the work and be aware of all associated risks for People, the Environment, Assets and Reputation (PEAR); Understand and comply with their roles and responsibilities Fully participate in the Dana Serious About Safety Program and additional HSEQ training or instruction by or on behalf of Dana Petroleum; Safety Oversight: Ensure all safety standards and procedures are strictly followed. Report any incident, near miss, hazards (unsafe acts/situations) and improvement suggestions; Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks. Ensure all risk assessments are correctly documented. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations and standards, ensuring all correspondence is correctly recorded and cascaded.Job Specific Skills and KnowledgeDegree qualified Mechanical Engineer with relevant detail design experience and significant operations involvement.An ability to work under pressure Prior Rotating Equipment experience, including overhaul scope oversight. Be able to demonstrate commitment to safety, led by example Commercial awareness Preferably Chartered Engineer with professional engineering institute such as IMechE Aware of latest technical developments and commitment to maintaining competence through CPDGeneral CapabilitiesCollaborative - To work and communicate effectively with colleagues, partners and all other stakeholders.
