The position directs the global product quality and reliability activities within the division, focusing on Discrete Si, SiC and power ICs, and supports customer issues and product qualification efforts.Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.What You Will Be DoingOversee the Global Reliability and Failure Analysis function to implement quality systems, guidelines, plans and policies to ensure the highest quality and reliability of the company’s products.Support key customer issues to achieve quality standards, systems and objectives using appropriate procedures and cost-saving methods.Review engineering designs with R&D and Engineering to contribute quality and reliability requirements; assess reliability and burn-in for new technology platforms and products.Direct assistance of product support areas in gathering and analyzing data.Manage global reliability and FA personnel to ensure smooth coverage of quality and reliability functions.Represent MOSFET division in industry communities such as JEDEC and AECQ.Continue building internal reliability best-in-class standards and practices for new materials or technologies.Design and enable world-class Quality and Reliability requirements for wide-bandgap (SiC) power products, meeting industry standards and customer requirements.Establish best-in-class methodologies to test and characterize SiC devices to understand reliability and failure mechanisms during R&D, NPI and HVM.Design experiments and coordinate statistical studies to determine device reliability (e.g., gate oxide lifetime, time-dependent dielectric breakdown).Lead collaboration with R&D, Engineering and Operations to establish screening and burn-in procedures for SiC devices to meet product quality requirements and customer needs.Lead R&D, NPI and HVM quality/reliability projects and present results to senior management and external stakeholders.Define requirements for quality and reliability test equipment and coordinate their development for transfer to manufacturing when needed.Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders across R&D, Engineering, Marketing, and academia.Represent the company in industry bodies such as JEDEC or AECQ.What You Will Bring AlongA PhD or Masters-level degree in electronics engineering, physics or a microelectronics-related field.15+ years of experience in quality and reliability with executive-level exposure in the semiconductor industry. Knowledge of reliability and failure modes of power semiconductor discrete devices, power ICs and SiC.5+ years of experience in wide-bandgap power semiconductor technology (ideally SiC).Experience leading global teams in reliability testing of SiC MOSFETs and diodes, including wafer- and package-level; GaN experience preferred.Strong understanding of statistical analysis and design of experiments.Knowledge of semiconductor TCAD tools for device simulation (e.g., Synopsys Sentaurus, Silvaco Victory).Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills; ability to develop and execute action plans.Ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments concurrently.Effective communication skills, especially in conveying technical concepts.Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to build cross-functional relationships.Comprehensive background in power semiconductors/semiconductor physics and electronics engineering; capability to work logically and creatively, coordinating with manufacturing partners and cross-functional teams.What We OfferVishay offers a comprehensive suite of benefits including healthcare coverage, financial support programs, and resources to help you achieve personal and professional goals.
