Hours: Full time, 36.25 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive / NegotiableThe OpportunityOur client, a forward-thinking and well-established law firm, is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their dedicated Court of Protection team based in Exeter.This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and progressive practice that values both professional growth and work-life balance. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied caseload and the chance to develop long-term client relationships in a role that makes a real difference.The RoleYou will handle a broad range of Court of Protection matters, supported by an advanced case management system, including:Running files and working alongside the Deputy in dealings with the Court of Protection and the OPGAdvising on the Mental Capacity Act and family disputesBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients and their families to support “best interest” decisionsPreparing Court Applications, including Statutory Will ApplicationsRepresenting the Deputy at hearings and instructing Counsel when appropriateInvestigating suspicions of financial abuseAbout YouWe are looking for a dedicated individual with:Previous Court of Protection and/or Private Client experienceStrong organisational and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to explain complex legal issues clearlyHigh levels of attention to detailAn interest in business development and contributing to the wider success of the teamIf you do not already hold a STEP qualification, full support will be provided to achieve this.Why Join Our Client?Our client places a strong focus on providing exceptional service to their clients while supporting their staff to thrive both professionally and personally.
