Knowledge of client‑side systems such as ERP and Treasury Management Systems (TMS), as well as treasury operations, is essential to delivering integrated and client‑centric solutions to our corporate and institutional clients.You’ll work with a high energy team of product specialists, as well as key partners in other areas of the bank, to unlock growth whilst championing an environment of diversity and customer centric innovation, promoting new ways of working to deliver our broader purpose – Helping Britain Prosper.Role AccountabilitiesStrategic Partnership LeadershipDevelop and implement a partnership strategy aligned with the bank's Transaction Banking growth agendaIdentify and engage with high‑potential partners across the UK and Europe, including fintechs, ERP platforms, payment networks, and trade ecosystemsLead negotiations and structure partnership agreements that deliver mutual value and long‑term strategic alignmentCommercial ExecutionCollaborate with Product, Sales and Coverage teams to integrate partner capabilities into client propositionsLeverage understanding of ERP, TMS, and treasury operations to design solutions that integrate seamlessly into client environmentsDrive joint go‑to‑market initiatives and co‑innovation programs to accelerate revenue growth and client acquisitionMonitor and report on partnership performance, critical metrics and commercial impactInnovation & Market EngagementStay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes and emerging technologies relevant to transaction bankingRepresent the bank in industry forums, consortiums and innovation networks across the UK and EuropeChampion a culture of innovation and external collaboration within the Transaction Banking teamGovernance & Risk OversightEnsure all partnerships align with legal, regulatory and operational standardsWork closely with Risk, Legal, Compliance and Technology teams to manage partnership risks and integration challengesStakeholder EngagementBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Product, Technology, Coverage and Executive LeadershipAct as a senior ambassador for the Transaction Banking business in external engagementsWhat you’ll needSignificant, demonstrable experience in transaction banking, corporate banking or fintech, with a strong understanding of cash, trade and digital banking productsProven track record in developing and managing strategic partnerships or alliances, ideally within the UK and European marketsDemonstrated success in driving innovation and delivering client‑centric solutions through partnershipsDeep understanding of the fintech industry, including trends, players and partnership modelsExperience building and managing strategic relationships with third parties, especially fintechsStrong knowledge of ERP systems, Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and corporate treasury operationsExcellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skillsFamiliarity with digital platforms, APIs, embedded finance and open banking frameworks is highly desirableAbout working for usOur ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities and we're committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop.We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative.We offer reasonable workplace adjustments for colleagues with disabilities, including flexibility in office attendance, location and working patterns.
