The RoleReporting into the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of new product development project delivery across all clients and projects across the UK business.What will I be delivering?Oversee all aspects of project quality assurance for new product development, qualification and delivery to defence clientsDefine and implement quality assurance strategies and planning to client, internal R&D and industry requirements and standardsSupport and enhance the business management system and continued compliance to AS9100Support and drive improvement activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the organisationParticipate in project lifecycle reviews; including quality planning at bid, project mobilisation, requirements capture, design and test readiness reviewsGenerate project quality related risks and implement effective mitigation strategiesLead non-conformance, defect management ensuring root causes and trends are addressed through robust corrective actionPrepare First Article Inspection reports in accordance with client requirementsManage and participate in quality assurance activities, including internal, customer and partner reviews, inspections, and end item data management.Undertaking of Audits in line with the company schedule, including supplier auditsWhat do I need to bring with me?Demonstrated knowledge and experienceIn-depth understanding of ISO9001 and or AS9100Working knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes preferably in the electronics environmentInternal auditingProblem-solving methodologies and non-conformance managementUnderstanding engineering documentation and drawingsInspection of electronic and mechanical assembliesExperience in engineering change managementKPIs and performance managementWorking knowledge of ERP systemsTechnical skills and QualificationsDegree / HND / HNC in Quality Management or similar/equivalent disciplineInternal Auditing certification to ISO9001:2015, EN AS9100 or similarImprovement focused.
