learning within our school.Working closely with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, and wider leadership team, you will champion high standards, innovative practice, and exceptional outcomes for our students.In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the development of the Science curriculum, support and mentor colleagues, and model outstanding teaching.You’ll bring energy, expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement—helping to create a learning environment where students are engaged, challenged, and excited by Science.What You’ll DoLead the development and delivery of the science curriculum, ensuring high-quality teaching and learningModel outstanding teaching and support staff through coaching, demonstration lessons, and guidanceMentor and develop new staff, including NQTs and colleagues taking on new responsibilitiesAssist teachers with planning, assessment, target-setting, and effective use of dataConduct classroom observations and contribute to performance management processesStay up-to-date with best practice in science education and share expertise across the departmentOversee departmental operations, including weekly meetings, reviews, and documentationSupport exam processes, including BTEC quality control, alongside senior leadersMaintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR compliance, and SEN alignmentContribute to whole-school
