About the RoleIs this the next step in your career Find out if you are the right candidate by reading through the complete overview below.We’re looking for an experienced and proactive accountant to join our growing team at AGILE Accountants. This role is perfect for someone with strong practice experience who enjoys working closely with clients and taking ownership of their portfolio.You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end management of a portfolio of clients, ensuring all compliance and advisory services are delivered accurately and on time. You’ll also play a key role in driving automation and efficiency across your client base using leading cloud accounting technology.Key ResponsibilitiesManage your own portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact.Oversee and prepare year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, VAT returns, bookkeeping, payroll and management accounts.Support clients with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and other financial planning tasks.Ensure all compliance deadlines are met and that clients receive proactive, quality service.Review and maintain bookkeeping records (using Xero and Dext) to ensure accuracy and consistency.Identify opportunities to improve client processes through automation and technology.Collaborate with the wider team to support junior staff and maintain best practice standards.About YouAAT Level 4 qualified (essential).Studying ACCA or planning to start your ACCA studies (supported).Minimum 2 years of experience in an accountancy practice.Strong technical knowledge of Xero (experience with Dext and other cloud tools a plus).Confident managing multiple client relationships with excellent communication and soft skills.Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.Positive, client-focused attitude and a desire to embrace technology and efficiency.Why Join AGILE Accountants?Hybrid working model – modern setup with dual screens and softphones for flexible working.Private medical insurance as standard.Salary sacrifice pension scheme.Supportive, and close-knit ACCA-accredited team where you’ll make an immediate impact.Exposure to a wide range of industries and clients (95% of whom use Xero).Opportunity to grow your career and take on greater responsibility quickly.About UsAGILE Accountants is an ACCA-accredited practice that provides forward-thinking compliance and advisory services to small businesses and entrepreneurs.
