We are seeking a Locum Construction Solicitor based in the Midlands to support a major, high‑visibility industrial build. Operating at national scale, the organisation is backed by substantial capital investment and works in collaboration with government, private sector and technical partners.DescriptionThe Locum Construction Solicitor will be:Drafting, negotiating and advising on supply chain and subcontract contracts (especially NEC forms)Advising on risk allocation, change control and compensation eventsProviding legal support to procurement and commercial teamsEnsuring consistency and governance of contractual terms across suppliersReviewing supplier sub‑contracts, design/works interfaces, and collateral warrantiesManaging contractual dispute avoidance and escalation as neededLiaising with project leadership, commercial, procurement and technical leadsMonitoring contract compliance and advising on mitigation strategiesProfileThe Locum Construction Solicitor should be:A solicitor (or equivalent) with at least 5+ PQE in construction / infrastructureExperienced in negotiating NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4)Comfortable working under pressure and delivering fast turnaround adviceSkilled in managing complex supply chain agreementsCommercially minded, with excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder skillsAble to work collaboratively and adapt within a project environment xpwpeyx Job OfferDay rate: £450-£550/dayContract term: 6 to 12 months, ASAP startHands‑on role on a high stakes, high profile industrial projectExposure to major supply chain / infrastructure workOpportunity to work alongside senior legal, commercial and technical stakeholdersFlexible working arrangements (within project constraints) where possibleIf you're an experienced Construction Solicitor with NEC and supply chain expertise, apply now or contact Michael Bailey for more information.#J-18808-Ljbffr
