Role description :Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.This Executive functions as a Senior Product Line Officer for Senior Product Line Officer is responsible for all product minor lines.Global Marine Leadership will report into this role.Responsibilities for this position include :Responsible for setting & driving business strategy for Global Marine.Responsible for setting Global P&L execute against growth and profitability goals and objectives.Input to and agree reinsurance strategy with Ceded ReDrive underwriting excellence across Marine in collaboration with the CUO by establishing and ensuring adherence to risk appetite line setting standards and guidelines and ensure rating and pricing adequacy.Identify and recommend new markets products services and tools as well as marketing distribution & Underwriting Strategies.Create regular and ongoing communication with the various geographies to promote best practices share strategic insights and create a community of interest across the various minor lines.Ensure an effective reinsurance strategy that supports our risk appetite for per risk and aggregation across all product lines as well as active management of the portfolio .Understands the Specialty business model underwriting methodology and the risks we assume.Establish strong relationships with global Specialty leadership; create mutual understanding of overall specialty strategy to drive effective execution of business model.Develop tools and strategies in collaboration with HR to attract and retain top industry talent and develop high performing teams.Drive a culture that promotes collaboration diversity and inclusion.Ensure a reputation of Claims excellence in the marketplace.Demonstrate understanding of regulatory and compliance processes and ensure AIG stakeholdersReporting LinesReports to :Global Head of SpecialtyLeadership Skills :Proven people management and leadership skills.Proven ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders.Highly collaborative approach across functions and geographies.Ability to manage and influence in a matrix structure and across a wide geography.Technical Skills and Expertise :Strong experience in insurance leadership roles including oversight over multiple products and geographies.Deep expertise in the above mentioned specialty lines expert technical underwriting backgroundKnowledge of market segmentation portfolio management acquisition and distributionProven Strategic Leadership skills in developing vision and purpose driving for results and leading effective teamsEstablished strong relationships with customers and intermediariesSkilled leader of change; versatile client focused results orientedDemonstrated business savvy analytical and quantitative skillsStrong problem solving and conflict resolutionStrong influencing and stakeholder management skills experience of working with senior global leadership teamsCore Competencies :Building effective teamsBusiness acumenCustomer focusDealing with ambiguityDeveloping direct reports and othersDrive for resultsInformingInnovative managementManagerial courageNegotiatingOptimizing work processesOrganizational agilityPeer relationshipsPlanningPresentation skillsProblem solvingAt AIG we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
