The role focuses on creating repeatable architecture patterns and producing infrastructure solution designs that align with strategic business and IT objectives.This position requires close collaboration with a diverse range of business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall enterprise strategy, compliance standards, and ongoing business transformation. The Technical Architect also plays a key role in providing architectural assurance, quality oversight of peer deliverables, and researching emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.Although not a hands‑on technical role, this position provides architectural guidance to subject matter experts (SMEs) and contributes to technology governance across multiple domains, ensuring sound and future‑ready technology decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop repeatable architecture patterns and infrastructure solution designs emphasizing security, scalability, and operational excellence.Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to align architecture with enterprise strategy and business objectives.Provide architectural assurance for project deliveries and perform quality reviews of peer deliverables.Conduct research into emerging technologies, products, and services; prepare business cases and present recommendations to the Architecture Design Authority.Collaborate with Solution and Integration Architects to ensure cohesive and aligned IT solution architecture.Participate in technology governance activities, ensuring decisions align with enterprise standards and long‑term sustainability.Provide advice and guidance during project implementation to ensure designs are executed as intended.Required Experience & CapabilitiesBroad experience across enterprise technologies, having worked in multiple SME or architecture‑focused roles.Proven ability to translate business requirements into secure, reliable, and scalable technology, service, and security deliverables.Strong understanding of IT security, risk management, and compliance in enterprise environments.Demonstrated ability to prepare and present technical proposals and strategy justifications to senior stakeholders.Experience designing and supporting mission‑critical infrastructure solutions across diverse technology stacks.Proven ability to self‑manage workloads, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver outcomes independently or within a focused team.Technical Skills & CompetenciesPublic Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with large‑scale cloud implementations (preferably Microsoft Azure).Core Technologies: Exposure to Windows, Linux, Web, Middleware, Database, Security Gateways, LAN/WAN Networking, and MuleSoft API Management.Solution Design: Experience designing secure, high‑performing, and highly available technology solutions with traceable requirements.Security & Risk: Applied knowledge of security architecture and risk mitigation within large enterprise environments.Methodologies: Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery models; understanding of CI/CD principles is desirable.Governance: Experience working within highly regulated industries (e.g., Financial Services) and performing contractual due diligence.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels — from C‑suite executives to technical SMEs.QualificationsDegree or HND in Information Technology (or equivalent professional experience). xpwpeyx Relevant certifications such as TOGAF or ITIL are desirable but not mandatory.
