Our client is looking for a Senior Social Worker for Children to manage a complex caseload involving high levels of risk, uncertainty, and challenge, consistent with the expertise of an experienced practitioner with at least three years of post-qualification experience.Make your application after reading the following skill and qualification requirements for this position.The role contributes to the development of practice within the service area, modelling high-quality social work and supporting the learning and professional growth of less experienced colleagues.Regular supervision will be provided in line with departmental policy.Required to hold caseload of CIN, CP and court proceedings Key Responsibilities Build effective relationships with children, young people, and families/carers to understand their needs, views, and promote participation in decision-making.Undertake high-quality assessments and interventions in accordance with statutory and operational standards, policies, and procedures.Assess and manage risk in complex situations, exercising sound professional judgement.Plan, implement, and review interventions that promote positive outcomes, safety, and independence.Manage a complex and varied workload independently, demonstrating strong organisational skills.Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records and produce clear, analytical reports.Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.Use supervision effectively to support reflection, professional development, and high standards of practice.Contribute to team and service development through mentoring, coaching, and modelling best practice.Maintain professional registration and meet the requirements of the Professional Capabilities Framework (Experienced Social Worker level).Qualifications and Training Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Successful completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) or equivalent Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development Experience Minimum of three years post-qualifying experience in a statutory Childrens Social Care role Proven experience of managing complex and challenging casework Experience working with children, young people, and families Experience of mentoring or supporting other staff Knowledge Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding legislation, and social work frameworks.In-depth knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory, and policy frameworks in Childrens Social Care.Understanding of evidence-based practice and research-informed interventions.Awareness of the Professional Capabilities Framework and Knowledge and Skills Statements for child and family social work. xpwpeyx Knowledge of mentoring and professional development approaches.Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills for varied audiences Strong analytical, assessment, and decision-making skills in complex situations Effective workload management and ability to work independently under pressure Skilled in multi-agency working and collaborative practice Ability to use IT systems for case recording and diary management Ability to support learning and development of peers and junior staff If you feel you have the right experience please apply via CV PAYE plus holiday pay Hybrid- 3 days based in the officed02fcfcb-6df4-40ee-95cf-3eb059ce3173
