The team is highly regarded for its expertise, quality of work and a noteworthy client list. Members regularly handle complex, high‑value litigation at the cutting edge of the professions they represent.The applicant will develop a specialism in professional indemnity work and defend claims against construction professionals, with good experience in such matters.The Specialty Team undertakes a broad range of substantial, challenging and largely contentious work, including defending claims against a wide variety of professional service providers (architects, engineers, financial advisors), insurance policy coverage, insurance and reinsurance disputes, and claims relating to construction, property damage and aviation.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssisting and supporting partners and principal associates with their caseloadsProactively managing your own casesWorking as part of a team on large, complex, high‑value mattersPreparing detailed and technical reports, correspondence and court documentsDelegating to solicitors and trainees, supporting their developmentAdvising clients on liability and coverage issuesLiaising with insurer and insured clients, experts, witnesses, counsel and other partiesEnsuring compliance with client service level agreements, relevant policies and proceduresSupporting and contributing to business development initiatives Completing management information xpwpeyx Helping supervise trainees, paralegals and apprenticesAssisting with other work allocated by the Team ManagerWorking in accordance with Weightmans’ valuesThis list is only indicative of the types of activities the successful candidate will be involved in.Seniority level: Mid‑Senior levelEmployment type: Full‑timeJob function: LegalIndustries: Law PracticeLocation: Liverpool, England, United Kingdom#J-18808-Ljbffr
