By joining us, you don't just become part of our success story; you help shape the future and continue our rich legacy that started back in 1874.Join us as aRegional Operations Director - New Installations & Modernisation (London & South-East)Your main responsibilitiesThis role holder will actively manage their respective team to ensure that project outputs are being delivered on schedule, to budget and to the required quality, all in alignment with contractual commitments, and terms and conditions. They will also be experts in communication and set examples to all team members in areas of personal character, commitment, organisational and installation skills, and work habits.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDrive the adoption of Schindler core values as well as a high-performance cultureLead & ensure the adoption of people & product safety standards by all team members on all projectsLead and ensure the adoption of the quality KPIs by all team members on all projectsActively manage, develop and train the team to meet the objectives of quality, productivity, efficiency and customer orientation.Lead a team of project managers and/or field managers to deliver New Installations/Modification projects -from design through to installation and handoverPrepare the budgeting process, maintaining monthly revenue & profitability forecast and mitigate deviations from budget.Lead the team in project reviews to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and time schedules, taking mitigating measures when requiredLead the team to maximise project profitability, by managing a detailed and thorough variation/change order processDevelop and maintain a capacity/labour allocation plan to deliver the business efficiently.Collaborate and work closely with subcontractor management & procurement to identify & implement cost savings in the projects supply chainSupport and engage in tenders with key customers to maximise chances of winning. That includes, support on costing and mid-post tender presentationsDevelop and maintain relationships with key customers: main contractors, developers & consultantsSupport strategic growth objectivesEnsure the full team adherence to correct processes as well as implementation of project management tools to continuously improve project execution efficiencyCollaborate with expert group and implement process improvements.Maintain compliance and keep the following systems updated: Supervisor App; Fulfilment Plus; ERP system; Data Management System (DMS).What you bringPersonal skills for the positionManagement – Actively manage the team to ensure that project outputs are being delivered on schedule, to budget and to the required quality, all in alignment with contractual commitments, and terms and conditions.Communication – Good presentation skills and good communicator with customers, superiors and subordinates.Leadership – Able to set examples for all team members in areas of personal character, commitment, organisational and installation skills, and work habits.Finance – Financial acumen.Legal – Code & standard knowledge.Mobility – Available to travel within the UK when required.Experience and Qualifications requiredEducated to Degree level or equivalent (Engineering degree preferred)Knowledge of SAP reporting functionsFull understanding and proven adherence to FF+Track record of developing new processes to improve business issuesExperience in training and coaching others in an engaging and efficient mannerAbility to manage a team and to work within a team frameworkThorough knowledge of design and construction processesProject management/supervision, commercial, technical and installation background with ability to translate specification & construction issues into workable solutions3-5 years' Site management experience (desired)Reasoning and problem‑solving skills – with ability to think laterallyProven Project Management experienceProficient in MS Office and MS ProjectPersonal qualities for the positionProven track record in driving business process improvementFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel when requiredHigh standard of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels (chair large meetings)Shares information and keeps stakeholders informedMotivated by results and strives to exceed expectationsSelf‑starter, enthusiastic work ethic, able to prioritise/deal with large workload fluctuations and work under pressureAbility to prioritise and multi‑task at a high level whilst remaining calm under pressureWhat's in it for you?Join our purpose‑driven organization.
