As a General Manager, you will provide inspirational leadership and management for the fast‑paced site in Bristol while continuing to develop added value to customer propositions in order to strengthen organisational dependencies and partnerships. This is a full‑time, permanent position and even though contracted Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00, this is a 24/7 operation, and you’ll need to offer a level of flexibility in terms of working hours–no two weeks are the same, this is logistics after allResponsibilitiesManage the site leadership teams to achieve operational delivery performance and adherence to all company and customer/site KPIsLiaise and build rapport with the customer to allow for collaborative working and the defining of shared goals and objectivesLead change management on site, with a focus on continuous improvement, health and safetyMaintain effective and open communication links, positively encouraging teamworkQualifications & ExperienceStrong site management experience in a large‑scale distribution operation, with a keen eye for detail and eagerness for continuous improvementCommercially focused with the ability to drive change and operational improvements; significant experience in a fast‑moving logistics environment; previous grocery experience would be idealStrong financial acumen—accountable for a multi‑million‑pound budgetAbility to coach and develop senior managers and experience managing trade union relationshipsExperience in a customer‑facing role with exposure to project management, driving change and implementing a CI cultureBenefitsWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
