Head of Information Security (UK & International)Want to apply Read all the information about this position below, then hit the apply button.Join the team at CDW UKJob SummaryAs the Head of Information Security for the UK and International business you will report to the global CISO and be accountable for all aspects of Information Security in the UK/Ireland business. You will work with the global security leadership team and the UK&I Technology leadership team to implement global security best practices, protect our operations from threats and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.What you will doOwn and drive all aspects of Information Security across the UK&I business.Build partnerships with UK&I leadership to align local priorities while fostering a strong cybersecurity culture.Represent UK&I on the global Information Security team and act as the bridgehead for global initiatives in the region.Implement and maintain security policies, protocols and measures across all platforms and locations, aligning with our global operating model.Lead incident response efforts and manage investigations of security breaches.Collaborate with other Technology departments to ensure compliance with security standards and proactive risk management.Work with sales teams and customers to support them in understanding how CDW protects customer information, including hosting calls and responding to RFP questions.Work with the Legal, Risk, Ethics and Compliance team to support broader business security risks and maintain government standards including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials+ and response to issues.Embed strong security measures in the product development lifecycle, from design through deployment, aligning with industry best practices and global security standards.Develop and implement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of cybersecurity initiatives and report progress to senior management and stakeholders.Provide line management to the local Information Security team, recruiting diverse talent, managing performance, developing potential, supporting individuals and creating a cohesive unit.What we expect of youMinimum basic requirementsTen or more years in cybersecurity roles in mid‑to‑large organisations, recently at or near executive level.Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management and incident response protocols.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to a C‑level audience.Commercial acumen and awareness of financial implications of decisions across Capex and Opex budgets.Demonstrable track record of delivering results while managing competing pressures and deadlines with attention to detail and quality.Passion for technology and its positive impact on business.Comfortable in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.Articulate, credible and quality‑oriented.Positive attitude and influence to others, fast learner, and adaptive to new technology and industry trends.Excellent organization and time‑management skills.Motivation to drive an individual plan based on business strategy.Preferred skills, experience and qualitiesExperience working in a global, matrixed team.Professional security management qualification such as CISSP or equivalent.Experience in an IT channel or vendor organisation.M&A experience.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionInformation Technology – IT Services and IT ConsultingBenefits & PerksCompetitive salary and bonus structure.Flexible working arrangements.Professional development opportunities.Comprehensive health and wellbeing support.Team‑based cohesion and a collaborative environment.About CDWCDW is a leading multi‑brand provider of information technology solutions to business, government, education and healthcare customers in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.
