Primary Care Pharmacy Technician Oxford PCN Location: Oxford Hours: Full-time (within GP practice core opening hours) Salary: Competitive Employer: The Pharmacist Network About the Role Due to continued growth and expansion, were seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Primary Care Pharmacy Technician to join our team onsite within a GP practice in the Oxford Primary Care Network (PCN).Considering applying for this job Do not delay, scroll down and make your application as soon as possible to avoid missing out.In this role, youll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day pharmacy operations in general practice.Youll also provide clinical support and advice to patients, helping to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care.What Youll Do As a Primary Care Pharmacy Technician, youll: Act confidently within your professional boundaries and standards.Work closely with GPs, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.Manage and resolve medication-related queries.Support medicine management and reconciliation processes.Improve patient outcomes and access to healthcare.Contribute to prescribing audits and medicines safety initiatives.Support medication monitoring and review processes.Key Responsibilities Complete medication reconciliations using clinical letters and hospital discharge summaries.Manage prescription screening and processing.Communicate with patients and local pharmacies on medication-related issues.Oversee medication synchronisation and monitoring recalls (e.g.BP checks, blood tests, annual reviews).Support high-risk drug monitoring, prescribing audits, and incentive schemes.Action medicines safety alerts (CAS/MHRA/ICB).Conduct Level 1 and 2 medication reviews and assist with Pre-SMR screenings (training provided).About Us The Pharmacist Network (TPN) is a pharmacist-led organisation providing skilled Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to GP practices across the UK.We pride ourselves on our culture of positivity, transparency, and excellence fostering a supportive environment where every member of our 250 strong workforce can thrive.We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome applications from all backgrounds.Employee Benefits GPhC fees and DBS applications paid 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata as applicable) Comprehensive health & wellbeing programme: confidential counselling, digital gym access, and retail discounts Dedicated senior pharmacist support and national professional network Flexible working opportunities Pension scheme What Were Looking For Essential Requirements: Registered Pharmacy Technician with a relevant qualification Completion of the CPPE Primary Care Pathway 612 months experience working in a GP practice or primary care setting Experience using EMIS, SystmOne, or both Able to commute to the Oxford practice location Desirable: Prior experience working within a PCN Additional training or qualifications in medicines optimisation or prescribing support Additional Information This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.d02fcfcb-6df4-40ee-95cf-3eb059ce3173
