Position: HGV Class 2 Skip / HIAB Grab Driver Operator Location: Ham Hill Depot, Snodland, Kent (Possibility for out basing) Line Reporting Manager: Grit & Screenings Manager Salary: £12.60ph / £32,760 basic annually.Apply below after reading through all the details and supporting information regarding this job opportunity.Overtime paid at time and a half £18.90.Overtime to be covered after hours and weekends.£45 night work through bonus.Which means if you was to work through the night into the next day you would get the bonus on top off moneys for hours worked.Call out bonus: You get put on a schedule for call outs.£30 for a weekday, £45 per a day on the weekend.Benefits for a HGV Skip Driver : Company pension Death in service cover 20 days annual leave, Enhancements with time served.With opportunities to work on the bank holidays for bonuses.Such as double time, day in leu or call out bonuses.For 10hours work on a bank holiday also comes with a £75 bonus.(note that bonuses change every year).Competitive salary Employee Assistance Programme / Health & wellbeing programme Support from a family run company that considers, your health, safety, and wellbeing as a number one priority Company events Free parking / On-site parking Referral programme Full PPE Provided (Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment) Excellent rate of pay Career progression and job security Flexibility State of the art technical equipment to carry out your daily tasks Competitive Salary Paid time and a half overtime Paid Call outs Paid work through bonus Average earnings holiday pay: We pay average holiday pay.Which means if you was to earn over your basic salary (lots of overtime) for the last 3 months you would be paid what youve averagely earnt not at just your basic salary.Paid Training/Induction Week: Training Courses given at induction- EUSR Water Hygiene Card (Blue) EU Skills Card (Green) Principle Duties and Accountabilities: To deliver and collect skips from Southern Water sites using both Skip lorry and or HIAB Grab Lorry.Being flexible in your approach to work and undertake ad-hoc duties when your vehicle is off the road or if you are required to assist other field teams Roles and Responsibilities for HGV Skip Driver : Drive and operate specialist Skip Lorry / Hiab Grab Lorry once site induction training has been provided (Class 2, CPC required) To safely use a Running Bin to collect and dispose of loaded skips within Southern Water Waste treatment sites primarily in Kent Working on Southern Water Treatment sites in strict accordance with statutory health, safety and environmental procedures.Training to given (EUSR) Safe use of HIAB Grab Lorry (when required) using Crane & Bucket in accordance with training (Provided) Undertake vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shift using digital tablet system Ensure that all jobs are documented correctly on digital tablet system Report all defects, accidents and near misses immediately to Line Manager.Maintain the drivers logbook in compliance with MOT rules and procedures Ensure that the conditions of all PPE (personal protective clothing and equipment) remain fit for purpose Keep the vehicle and equipment washed down on a weekly basis, free from rubbish in hose and toolboxes and the cab Attend training as and when required. xpwpeyx Health & Safety for HGV Skip Driver : Section 7 of the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) states the general duties of employees at work It shall be the duty of every employee while at work to: (a) To take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work; and (b) as regards any duty or requirement imposed on their employer or any other person by or under any of the relevant statutory provisions, to co-operate with them so far as is necessary to enable that duty or requirement to be performed or complied with Skip / Hiab Operator Health and Safety Responsibilities are: To understand and comply with the company health and safety policy To influence and promote a positive health, safety culture within the organisation and lead by example To ensure all works activities are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with legislative, company requirements and the RAMS To carry out comprehensively and complete all company required site documentation Ensure VPRs are carried out and completed DRAs are to be carried out for every job and updated where required To report all health, safety and environmental incidents to the Line Manager within 2 hours of it happening Qualifications / Competency for HGV Skip Driver : HGV 2 Licence Must have the ability to take on responsibility of working within very controlled guidelines and environmental regulations Able to deal with the public in a polite and friendly manner Able to work with a minimum of supervision and to receive instructions remotely Previous work involving liquid waste products in the water utility / environmental services sector is desirable.Knowledge of safe working in street works preferred Desirable Qualifications / Knowledge of ( training provided ) Skip Lorry Operation HIAB Grab Lorry Operation EU Skills Card Green & EUSR Water Hygiene Card (Blue)(Inhouse training given)d02fcfcb-6df4-40ee-95cf-3eb059ce3173
