Legal Counsel (5-9 PQE) – Payments & FintechA rapidly growing global payments and technology company is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its expanding footprint across EMEA. This role is based in London and involves working closely with business teams to navigate complex regulatory landscapes, structure strategic partnerships, and drive the rollout of innovative financial products.While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.Key Responsibilities:Interpret and distill financial regulations relevant to digital payments, e-money, and financial institutions, offering actionable legal guidance.Engage with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions to ensure compliance with evolving frameworks in the fintech and payments space.Advise on the launch and structuring of new products, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations while meeting commercial objectives.Negotiate and draft agreements with financial entities, technology partners, and other ecosystem players.Provide strategic insights on regulatory trends impacting business growth across the region.Identify process efficiencies and contribute to enhancing legal workflows.Support international expansion by evaluating legal risks in new markets.Key Requirements:UK/European-qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of PQE in financial services, technology, or corporate/commercial law.Strong background in regulatory advisory, commercial negotiations, and contracts within fintech/payments is preferred.Excellent ability to communicate legal complexities to non-legal teams.Proactive mindset with a keen interest in industry developments shaping digital payments and financial technology.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a diverse, global team.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionLegalIndustriesFinancial Services and Technology, Information and Media#J-18808-Ljbffr
