This senior-level role offers the opportunity to lead Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and planning projects across the North of England and beyond, with a focus on renewables, infrastructure, and property development. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex projects, mentoring a growing team, and driving strategic growth — all within a flexible and supportive working environment.ResponsibilitiesOversee EIA and planning projects from inception to completionPrepare and review environmental statements, technical reports, and management plansEnsure projects meet quality, budget, and timeline targetsCoordinate multidisciplinary teams and external specialistsTeam ManagementLine manage and support consultantsPromote collaboration and knowledge sharingAssist with resource planning and workload allocationClient & Commercial DevelopmentAct as the primary contact for key clientsLead on bids, tenders, and fee proposalsIdentify new business opportunities in energy, infrastructure, and property sectorsStrategic InputProvide expert advice within your specialismContribute to the strategic direction of the planning and EIA teamRepresent the consultancy at industry events and client meetingsAbout YouExtensive experience in UK-based EIA and planning consultancyStrong grasp of environmental and planning legislationConfident in team leadership and workload coordinationCommercially astute with excellent client-facing skillsDegree-qualified in a relevant field (e.g. Environmental Science, Planning, Geography)What’s On OfferHybrid working with flexibility around office and site visitsOpportunities to lead high-profile projects and shape team growthSupportive leadership and clear career progressionDiverse client portfolio across energy, infrastructure, and propertyNEXT STEPSClick apply – I review applications as received.
