About The Role About The Role Due to our continued growth and success, Currie & Brown's London Cost Management Team is excited to be recruiting a number of Senior Cost Consultants to join our friendly, supportive, and ambitious team.If you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity, or are considering applying, then please read the following job information.If you're ready to take the next step in your career, this opportunity provides the perfect platform for growth, development, and progression.You'll work on high-profile projects, be supported by industry-leading experts, and have the chance to contribute to shaping the future of the built environment.Let's grow together-your career journey starts here with Currie & Brown.Your core duties will involve: • Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients • Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments • Leading commercial management services with limited supervision • Assume a leading role within the team and foster a collaborative, innovative environment where talent can thrive • Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects • Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner • Liaising with other managers to ensure good resource allocation and efficient financial control • Providing support to the team leader/service leaders in cost management of projects • Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships What skills and attributes are we looking for from you • BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) • Awareness of sustainability requirements, the need for carbon reduction, carbon assessments and option studies • Data Skills including preparing cost analyses, benchmarking and dashboard and smart reporting • Public/private sector experience- ideally experience gained from some of the following: new build, cut & carve, refurbishment and fit out- offices, healthcare, residential, hospitality, major projects, government and leisure & retail • Pre and post-contract experience • Proficient CostX or other Cost Planning software • Good technical writing, client-facing and communication xpwpeyx skills • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible About You About Us What You'll Get in Return: • Comprehensive benefits package, including private medical insurance and enhanced pension • 25 days' holiday (rising to 27 after 5 years), plus option to buy additional leave • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements • £400 annual healthy living subsidy • Interest-free season ticket loan • Paid professional subscriptions • Clear progression routes and global career mobility • Supportive, inclusive working culture focused on your development
