Class 2 LGV Driver & Loader Waste & Recycling Employer: Swift Temps Ltd Driving Recruitment Division Location: Rotherham, Hellaby Depot, S66 8QL Pay Rate: £14.82 per hour (PAYE) Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week Job Type: Full-time, ongoing contract About the Role: Swift Temps Ltd is currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 LGV Driver & Loader to join the Waste and Recycling Collection Team supporting the local authority in the Rotherham area.Qualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below.This is an excellent ongoing opportunity offering consistent work, a supportive team environment, and a structured full-time schedule.You will be responsible for driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle and assisting with the loading of domestic and commercial waste , working as part of a close-knit crew.Key Responsibilities: Drive a Class 2 Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV) on designated waste and recycling routes.Work as part of a small team to collect household and commercial waste and recyclables across the borough.Assist with manual loading and bin movements where required.Walk significant distances daily (approx.810 miles) and carry out physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.Ensure safe and compliant vehicle operation in line with company and council procedures.Maintain excellent customer service standards when dealing with members of the public.Accurately record data on the in-cab Bartec system and report any issues such as contamination or missed collections.Requirements: Minimum 2 years Class 2 (Category C) driving experience.Full UK Driving Licence (with no more than 6 points).Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.Physically fit and comfortable performing manual handling and loading duties.Previous experience in waste, recycling, or local authority driving is highly desirable.A strong understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.Benefits: Competitive hourly pay rate £14.82 per hour (PAYE).Consistent, long-term work.Monday to Friday 39.5 hours per week Free on-site parking. xpwpeyx Supportive and friendly team environment.d02fcfcb-6df4-40ee-95cf-3eb059ce3173
