We break down barriers, encourage teamwork, and empower innovation that leads to rapid development of solutions that make a difference.Role SummaryReporting into the Cloud and Productivity Engineering Organisation, the Director, Cloud Architecture (Network) will own and deliver the London Stock Exchange Group’s public cloud and developer architecture. The role focuses on delivering security‑aligned strategy, design and evolution of the group’s strategic public and private cloud platform, while leading a global, dispersed team across the cloud platform and development toolchain.What You'll Be DoingDrive the acceleration, adoption and migration of applications to the public cloud, targeting the majority of the LSEG/Refinitiv estate.Own the technical and architectural integrity and strategic roadmap of Cloud Networking, and be accountable for successful delivery of business and technical outcomes.Retire and decommission data centres globally to a cloud‑hosted environment.Collaborate with the Group CISO and other IT security teams to improve security controls.Leverage emerging technologies in Cloud and development to simplify the technology landscape, improve customer experience and drive cost reductions.Define cloud and developer service strategy, including standards, blueprints, processes and patterns.Act as a Cloud evangelist, helping leaders understand the benefits, challenges and implications of adopting cloud.Build relationships and collaborate across the Engineering community to establish consistent architecture across all Digital platforms, meeting LSEG’s future technology needs and approved by governing bodies.Communicate with senior stakeholders up to C‑Level and collaborate with cloud platform "customers".Perform Agile Product Owner duties for the cloud platform.Obtain and utilize feedback and learning early and often.What You'll BringProven deep technical background working with related infrastructure technologies.Experience in the following technology areas:SDLC – Continuous Integration & Delivery, Application Security, Quality Assurance.Platforms – Istio, Serverless, Kubernetes.Processes – Agile, Lean, Product Development.Culture – DevSecOps, Continuous Change.Software engineering exposing event‑driven, high‑performance computing, big data analytics, machine learning.Program‑language polyglot (C, C++, C#, Java, Rust, Go, Python).Enterprise and Solution Architecture.Cloud and On‑Premise Networking.Ability to drive technological and cultural change towards rapid adoption and automated infrastructure.Strong team playing record with successful business outcomes.Excellent planning, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to lead conversations with development and product teams.Strong influencing skills and experience in coaching leaders.Experience guiding a global team to deliver at maximum potential.Fostering a high‑trust environment that encourages risk taking and innovation.Demonstrated understanding of PaaS, SaaS, IaaS and best practices in public cloud.Proven awareness of latest developments in today’s public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related benchmarks.Deep knowledge of operating systems, network infrastructure, RDBMS and automated testing pipelines.Recognised proficiency with Azure, AWS and GCP services.Benefits & CultureJoin us and be part of a team that values innovation, quality and continuous improvement.
