The appointee will join the existing team of obstetricians, currently we have 10 dedicated gynaecologists, 4 dedicated obstetricians, and 6 consultants doing both. The new post holder will be involved in both the acute service, providing obstetric and gynaecology emergency services and be part of the on‑call rota as well as delivering routine obstetric, gynaecology and specialist clinics and services.We have recently had approval to commence designing a new Women’s and Children’s Hospital with construction to be completed in 2031; this is an exciting time to join our team to help inform our new hospital design.Expectations Of The PostholderMaintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of Obstetrics patients.Share with colleagues responsibility for the day to day management of the Obstetric department.Ensure patient safety and deliver clinical excellence in Obstetric services.Teaching and training of junior staff and medical students where applicable.Have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).Actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit.Attend meetings as appropriate. xpwpeyx Fulfil duties of weekly timetable including any out-of-hours responsibilities.
