Principal Architect – SYSTRA UK & IrelandMake sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.Join to apply for the Principal Architect role at SYSTRA UK & Ireland.SYSTRA’s specialists plan, design, integrate, test, commission, project manage and deliver mass transit and mobility solutions relied on by more than 50 million people every day.With over 10,300 colleagues globally and around 1,000 in the UK & Ireland, we are growing and seeking the best talent.LocationBased in York, Leeds, London, Birmingham or Manchester.ContextWe are hiring a Principal Architect to support the Architecture Team as we deliver across Rail Sector, Airport Sector, Energy Sectors & Masterplanning.ResponsibilitiesProvide strong, pro‑active project leadership.Responsible for the production of designs and all associated deliverables (drawings, reports, schedules and calculations).Take responsibility for allocated tasks and coordinate supporting staff as required.Direct and manage in‑house architectural designers/technicians, other design disciplines and architectural partners to meet client and business requirements.Liaise with architecture and multi‑discipline colleagues to produce collaborative built‑environment design solutions.Manage design input from architectural partners and sub‑contractors/consultants.Take projects from conception to completion—preparation of feasibility studies, outline designs, detailed design and site support.Assist in managing resources to achieve agreed targets regarding effective delivery of projects to current engineering and safety standards, within agreed timescales and budgets.Provide technical assistance to site‑based personnel.Review tender opportunities with view to bidding, preparation of deliverables, cost estimates, programme and multi‑disciplinary collaboration requirements.Profile / SkillsChartered Architect (ARB & RIBA Registered) with significant subsequent experience and excellent understanding of the RIBA work stages.Proven experience in production of design deliverables for complex infrastructure projects, ideally in transportation.Detailed understanding of BIM modelling principles as an experienced / accredited user of Autodesk Revit.Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop / InDesign for quality graphical presentations.Excellent report and case study writing skills.General skills in Microsoft Office suite.Robust knowledge of design and construction principles and standards.Pro‑active solution‑oriented approach.Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.Motivated team player who works well under pressure.Desirable Skills & Experience (not Essential)Experience on international design projects, particularly the Middle East.Experience using Bentley software (AECOsim) and common data environments (CDE). xpwpeyx Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionDesign, Art/Creative, and Information TechnologyIndustriesDesign ServicesEqual Employment OpportunityWe are an equal opportunity employer and provide a diversity‑friendly work environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
