Industrial Placement Student Asset Integrity Management Location: Risktec, Derby Duration: 12 Months from September 2026 Risktec Solutions Ltd is a specialist risk management consulting and training company which is part of the TV Rheinland Group.Have you got the right qualifications and skills for this job Find out below, and hit apply to be considered.We assist clients in major hazard industries, commercial, and public sectors to manage health, safety, security, environmental and business risk.The asset Integrity Management team is a sub-set of Risktec division who are focused on the Conventional Power and Clean Energy sectors (primarily CCGT, Biomass and Energy from Waste plants).Job Purpose: We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Placement Student to join our Asset Integrity Management team in Derby.This placement will offer a rich learning environment and the chance to experience the professional application of managing third party assets through the implementation of engineering principles and techniques.Key Responsibilities: Support the Asset Integrity Management team in delivering high-quality consultancy services within the Conventional Power and Clean Energy sectors.Participate in the analysis of inspection and report data.Gather data and information from a wide variety of sources, including but not limited non-destructive testing (NDT) reports, temperature assessment reports, materials analysis reports, FEA reports, technical drawings etc.Produce formal technical reports and other project deliverables within agreed timescales.Collaborate with team members to support in the implementation of bespoke solutions to client challenges.Undertake field assignments at power stations throughout the UK with experienced professionals to gain practical insights and apply classroom knowledge where appropriate.Gain exposure to international standards and regulations related to power industry.Educational Requirements: Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, ideally with a focus on mechanical / materials or related fields.Completed at least two years of undergraduate study with a good academic standing.A hands-on approach with willingness to get involved with projects when required.Skills and Attributes: A base understanding of engineering principles, and material properties.Understanding of failure mechanism, and inspection techniques (desirable) A basic understanding of how a power station works (desirable) A general interest in the energy sector.Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, with an aptitude for learning new software and systems.Effective communication and team collaboration skills.Proactive and self-motivated with an eagerness to learn, alongside a problem-solving mindset.Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks within agreed timeframes.Legally authorised to work within the UK.Additional Information: Some travel to client sites may be required hence driving licence would be preferred.Application Process: We invite interested candidates to submit a CV and cover letter outlining their motivation to join the Asset Integrity Management team and what they hope to learn through this placement.Risktec is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. xpwpeyx All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.Application Deadline: November 30th 2025 We look forward to welcoming an enthusiastic Industrial Placement Student to our team, where you will gain invaluable experience and play a role in managing the integrity of critical assets that the power industry relies on to keep the lights on.d02fcfcb-6df4-40ee-95cf-3eb059ce3173
