You will take full responsibility for the company, leading from the front on sales activity while setting the strategy that will bring the business into a profitable position. This will involve hands on customer engagement, building commercial strength, tightening financial control, and guiding the team through a phase of development and scale up.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the company with full accountability for performance, culture, and long term directionBuild and deliver a clear plan to return the business to profitability with disciplined commercial and financial controlOwn the sales strategy for capital equipment and lead customer development, prospecting, and closing activityStrengthen relationships with key accounts and identify new markets and growth channelsDevelop capability across the team and set clear expectations, behaviours, and standardsOversee P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and governance with a strong focus on financial disciplineImprove processes, structure, and efficiency to support a scalable and profitable operationWork closely with the ownership group and contribute to wider portfolio discussionsWhat Will Make You a Strong Fit for This RoleCommercial or sales background with progression into broader general managementExperience selling and leading within industrial product or capital equipment manufacturing environmentsStrong exposure to SME scale up settings without complex corporate structuresFinancially literate with strong P&L management experience and a track record of delivering profitabilityComfortable in a standalone sales leadership position where you will remain actively involved in the sales processAble to be onsite in Banbury for the majority of the working weekEvidence of secure in house tenures that show sustained leadership and commercial deliveryResilient, pragmatic, and comfortable leading a business through change and scale upIndicators This Role May Not Align With Your BackgroundPrimarily operational or non commercial leadership backgroundExperience predominately within services rather than product salesCareer spent solely within large corporate, consultancy, or matrix environmentsSeeking a leadership role focused on oversight rather than active customer engagementPreference for a remote desk based leadership style rather than hands on sales involvementLack of experience in SME scale up settingsLack of experience within capital equipment or highly transferable industrial product environmentsPlease note that full and permanent right to work in the UK is a non‑negotiable requirement for this role.
